PHOTO DIARY: GEORGY COLLECTION IN FRANCE

When we received the message that Georgy Collection wanted to work with us again, we were beyond excited to see what the new collection held. We particularly love this label not only for the high quality of the clothing, but also of the neat tailoring of design. Expertly fitted to an hourglass silhouette, Georgy’s pieces seek to highlight your best features and simply flatter the feminine figure. Having previously worked together in Australia, we were now going to be taking Georgy international, and where better to take our gorgeous new outfits than on a weekend trip to France?

We took to the streets of Nice in the sunny south of France to shoot our four outfits from the new collection. Focusing on a little more movement in our photos this time around, we played around with different kinds of poses to show off every angle. Mel’s Ava Top and Dion Trousers were made of a soft chiffon material that practically floated in movement. The sheer mesh trousers featured a romantic rose print, with in-built underwear shorties for practical wear. As all of Georgy’s clothing, they stretched for comfort as well, meaning Mel could do all the high kicks in the world and not be worried about ripping them, despite the delicate fabric! The high neck halter style top has become an evening favourite, flattering the shoulders and offering a billowing peplum hem (perfect to hide your food baby after a decadent feasting).

Kristen opted for a boss lady look with the matching Diana Blazer and Pants. There’s arguably nothing more powerful than a woman in a well tailored suit, right? The double breasted blazer is a structured piece fitted for day to night wear, with wide lapels, shoulder pads and a fully lined interior. The wide leg trousers sat at a flattering high waist fit and – surprise, surprise – both of these elegant pieces were made using the most comfortable stretch crepe fabric, allowing for maximum flexibility despite being a structured set.

While we only asked for two oufits, Georgy Collection were oh-so kind to throw in two extra pieces in there: the Chantelle Dress in Blue and Green and the Hera Jumpsuit in Gold. Both of these stunning designs turned heads in the streets of Nice, that’s for sure. Kristen’s striking blue number would be the perfect fit for a day out at the races or a formal work function. Mel’s jumpsuit simply screams “I’m extra!”, so it’s undoubtedly fitted to her personality. This sparkly golden design is perfect for red carpet events or any kind of event where you want to stand out from the crowd.
